a true breed singaporean, who does not look like one!
The Monday of the one week school holidays in March. Managed to wake up early and reached workplace slightly earlier than my usage timing. Happened to see the cleaner aunty on my way up to the canteen.
"Are you a Singaporean? Why are you so early?", questions of the day from her.
"Yes, I am. Early to beat traffic jams", my reply to her questions.
Well, this is not the first time I get comments that I do not look like a Singaporean. Yet they use to have a saying that it is easy to spot a Singaporean everywhere you go.
Having staying in Singapore for more than two decades makes me wonder why I do not look like one.
